Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Plum Blossoms by Mei Lanfang. The price achieved of HKD 38,250.00 (€ 4,154.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mei Lanfang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Amitayu in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 77,457.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Plum Blossoms von Mei Lanfang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 38.250,00 (€ 4.154,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mei Lanfang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Amitayu im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 77.457,17).
