The work Goldfish and Algae by Mei Lanfang was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in August last year. It achieved a price of HKD 44,625.00 (€ 5,648.51), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 49%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mei Lanfang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Amitayu in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 77,457.17).

Die Arbeit Goldfish and Algae von Mei Lanfang kam im August letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 44.625,00 (€ 5.648,51) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 49%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mei Lanfang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Amitayu im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 77.457,17).
