The work Chrysanthemum by Mei Lanfang was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2020. It achieved a price of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 8,570.11), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. Admittedly, works by Mei Lanfang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Amitayu in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 77,457.17).

Die Arbeit Chrysanthemum von Mei Lanfang wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 8.570,11) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mei Lanfang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Amitayu im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 77.457,17).
