In March 2017 Christies in Dubai held the auction Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work ZONE M 11A by Mehdi Moutashar. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,347.54), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mehdi Moutashar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Zone 28, which sold at auction in October 2015 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,904.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im März 2017 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit ZONE M 11A von Mehdi Moutashar zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.347,54) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Mehdi Moutashar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Zone 28 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.904,91) versteigert wurde.
