Auction result well in line with expectations
The work DNA: Sepia: IX by McArthur Binion was auctioned at Phillips in London in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 37,800.00 (€ 41,973.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by McArthur Binion have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work DNA Study: III in May last year with an auction result of USD 428,400.00 (€ 399,217.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit DNA: Sepia: IX von McArthur Binion kam im Oktober 2020 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.800,00 (€ 41.973,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von McArthur Binion auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit DNA Study: III im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 428.400,00 (€ 399.217,22).
