In the Japanese Art Including Property of The Metropolitan Museum of Art auction, the work Gurdian Guardian of The Sea. Mother Pearl/Gurdian of The Sea. Conch Blower, 1998 changed hands for USD 2,160.00 (€ 1,779.39) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,200.00 – 2,800.00. Despite this disappointing result, Gurdian Guardian of The Sea. Mother Pearl/Gurdian of The Sea. Conch Blower, 1998 is the most expensive artwork by Mayumi Oda that we have observed at auction so far.
