A top price for May Guinness - as previously expected
The work Still life with apples and a white cloth by May Guinness was sold in the Irish Pictures auction at Christies in London in May 2000. The price achieved of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,656.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Still life with apples and a white cloth is the most expensive artwork by May Guinness that we have observed at auctions so far.
