In the The Irish Sale, Part II, including the Studio Collection of auction, the work Still Life of Flowers in a Jug sold for GBP 2,820.00 (€ 4,727.79) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by May Guinness; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Still life with apples and a white cloth sold at auction in May 2000 with the realized price of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,656.33).
