Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sheep in a mountainous landscape by May Guinness was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2000. It changed hands for a price of GBP 184.00 (€ 301.10) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 25.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by May Guinness achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still life with apples and a white cloth in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,656.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sheep in a mountainous landscape von May Guinness kam im Februar 2000 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 184,00 (€ 301,10) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25,00 – 200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von May Guinness erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still life with apples and a white cloth im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.656,33).
