In September 2009 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Photographs, Furniture, and Works of Art from a Parisian Flat, Avenue Montaigne, which included the work The Leg by Max Yavno. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,000.00 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Max Yavno have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Muscle Beach in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 28,750.00 (€ 22,187.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im September 2009 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Photographs, Furniture, and Works of Art from a Parisian Flat, Avenue Montaigne durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Leg von Max Yavno zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.000,00 und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Max Yavno auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Muscle Beach im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.750,00 (€ 22.187,07).
