Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Laborers At Work by Max Weber was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,442.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Weber achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,925,000.00 (€ 1,728,783.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Laborers At Work von Max Weber wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.442,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Weber erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit New York im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.925.000,00 (€ 1.728.783,12).
