Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Interior With Music by Max Weber. The price achieved of USD 735,000.00 (€ 659,251.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Max Weber - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work New York, which sold at auction in May 2016 for USD 1,925,000.00 (€ 1,728,783.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Interior With Music von Max Weber zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 735.000,00 (€ 659.251,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Max Weber mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit New York beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für USD 1.925.000,00 (€ 1.728.783,12) versteigert wurde.
