Auction result well in line with expectations
The work German Cairo by Max Schmidt was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2009. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,207.78) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by Max Schmidt have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2008 the work Ansicht von Kairo, im Vordergrund ruhende Araber was auctioned for EUR 15,860.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit German Cairo von Max Schmidt kam im November 2009 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.207,78) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Max Schmidt konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2008 die Arbeit Ansicht von Kairo, im Vordergrund ruhende Araber für EUR 15.860,00 versteigert.
