Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait of Heinrich Mann by Max Oppenheimer was sold in the Twentieth Century Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2008. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 70,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 79,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Max Oppenheimer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Zahnarzt (The dentist), which sold at auction in February 2020 for GBP 237,500.00 (€ 275,263.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Heinrich Mann von Max Oppenheimer wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion Twentieth Century Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 70.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 79.000,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Max Oppenheimer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Zahnarzt (The dentist) beobachtet, die im Februar 2020 für GBP 237.500,00 (€ 275.263,04) versteigert wurde.
