Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Everlasting Happiness by Max Liu was sold in the A Special Selection of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. The price achieved of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 5,688.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Max Liu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Unknown, which sold at auction in May 2014 for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,186.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Everlasting Happiness von Max Liu wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion A Special Selection of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 5.688,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Max Liu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Unknown beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 14.186,22) versteigert wurde.
