Auction result well in line with expectations
The work WIZARD by Max Liu was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,854.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Max Liu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Unknown in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,186.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit WIZARD von Max Liu kam im Mai 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.854,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Max Liu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Unknown im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 14.186,22).
