Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Max Kuehne could be acquired at Christies in New York in May 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Floral Arrangement in Pink and Silver: Framed Three-Paneled Screen changed hands for USD 22,800.00 (€ 18,463.03) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Max Kuehne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gloucester Harbor, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 67,000.00 (€ 45,615.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Max Kuehne konnte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit Floral Arrangement in Pink and Silver: Framed Three-Paneled Screen für USD 22.800,00 (€ 18.463,03) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Max Kuehne mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gloucester Harbor beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 67.000,00 (€ 45.615,47) versteigert wurde.
