In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Fishing Sheds, Provincetown sold for USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,770.19) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Max Kuehne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gloucester Harbor in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 67,000.00 (€ 45,615.47).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Max Kuehne erzielte im September 2008 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wurde die Arbeit Fishing Sheds, Provincetown für USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.770,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Max Kuehne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gloucester Harbor im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 67.000,00 (€ 45.615,47).
