Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Max Kuehne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gloucester Harbor im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 67.000,00 (€ 45.615,47).
