The work Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman by Max Beerbohm was sold in the The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer auction at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,750.00 (€ 1,992.47), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Beerbohm achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Mr Churchill' in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 54,081.37).

Die Arbeit Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman von Max Beerbohm wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 1.992,47) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Beerbohm erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Mr Churchill' im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 54.081,37).
