A top price for Max Baur - as previously expected
The work Untitled (Lindenblätter), 1940S by Max Baur was sold in the Photographs auction at Sothebys in London in November 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,625.00 (€ 3,675.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Untitled (Lindenblätter), 1940S is the most expensive artwork by Max Baur that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Untitled (Lindenblätter), 1940S von Max Baur wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.625,00 (€ 3.675,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Untitled (Lindenblätter), 1940S das teuerste Kunstwerk von Max Baur, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
