In January 2024 Bonhams in Skinner Boston held the auction Prints & Photographs, which included the work Self-Portrait by Mauricio Lasansky. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,152.00 (€ 1,006.82), 28% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Mauricio Lasansky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Indian Chief Wounded Feather; Ballerina; Verdi 3 in January last year with an auction result of USD 7,012.00 (€ 6,254.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2024 führte Bonhams in Skinner Boston die Auktion Prints & Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Self-Portrait von Mauricio Lasansky zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.152,00 (€ 1.006,82) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mauricio Lasansky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Indian Chief Wounded Feather; Ballerina; Verdi 3 im Januar letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.012,00 (€ 6.254,01).
