Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Dutch Moored Boats by Maurice Sys was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in May 2007. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 8,400.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maurice Sys - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ducks at the waterfront, Ghent, which sold at auction in October 2000 for NLG 46,808.00 (€ 22,466.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Dutch Moored Boats von Maurice Sys kam im Mai 2007 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 8.400,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Maurice Sys mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ducks at the waterfront, Ghent beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für NLG 46.808,00 (€ 22.466,30) versteigert wurde.
