Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Impressie by Maurice Sys was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2005. The price achieved of EUR 2,400.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maurice Sys have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ducks at the waterfront, Ghent in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 46,808.00 (€ 22,466.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Impressie von Maurice Sys kam im Juni 2005 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.400,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maurice Sys auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ducks at the waterfront, Ghent im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 46.808,00 (€ 22.466,30).
