A top price for Maurice Sterne - as previously expected
In September 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Four Balinese women by Maurice Sterne. The price achieved of USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,420.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,800.00 – 2,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Four Balinese women is the most expensive artwork by Maurice Sterne that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im September 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Four Balinese women von Maurice Sterne zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.420,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.800,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Four Balinese women das teuerste Kunstwerk von Maurice Sterne, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
