Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Head of a woman; and two companion drawings and one print by Maurice Sterne for USD 750.00 (€ 493.84). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maurice Sterne - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Four Balinese women, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,420.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Head of a woman; and two companion drawings and one print von Maurice Sterne für USD 750,00 (€ 493,84) erwerben.
