The work Le désir tombe comme une vague à l'abreuvoir by Maurice Henry was worth GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,493.39) to a buyer in March 2021. This price was achieved in the auction The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale at Bonhams in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Maurice Henry; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Les œufs du vent sold at auction in March this year with the realized price of EUR 8,287.50.
