Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Maurice Henry achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in March 2021. In the The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale auction, the work La visite du vampire sold for GBP 2,167.50 (€ 2,546.25) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maurice Henry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les œufs du vent, which sold at auction in March this year for EUR 8,287.50.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maurice Henry erzielte im März 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale wurde die Arbeit La visite du vampire für GBP 2.167,50 (€ 2.546,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Maurice Henry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les œufs du vent beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für EUR 8.287,50 versteigert wurde.
