Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gibet 1934-1974 by Maurice Henry was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art | Silver and Decorative Objects auction at Il Ponte in December 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,300.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Maurice Henry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les œufs du vent in March this year with an auction result of EUR 8,287.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Gibet 1934-1974 von Maurice Henry wurde im Dezember 2013 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art | Silver and Decorative Objects bei Il Ponte versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.300,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maurice Henry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les œufs du vent im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.287,50.
