Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Yellow Zero by Maurice Cockrill was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in February 2011. The price achieved of GBP 687.50 (€ 809.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurice Cockrill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Generation - Blue Space, Ii, (Marienbad.) in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,598.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Yellow Zero von Maurice Cockrill wurde im Februar 2011 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 687,50 (€ 809,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurice Cockrill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Generation - Blue Space, Ii, (Marienbad.) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.598,03).
