Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Maurice Cockrill achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2020. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Landscape With Red Form sold for GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,056.58) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maurice Cockrill have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Generation - Blue Space, Ii, (Marienbad.) in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,598.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maurice Cockrill erzielte im September 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit Landscape With Red Form für GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.056,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maurice Cockrill auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Generation - Blue Space, Ii, (Marienbad.) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.598,03).
