Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Captive Seed by Maurice Cockrill was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 765.00 (€ 854.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurice Cockrill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Generation - Blue Space, Ii, (Marienbad.) in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,598.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Captive Seed von Maurice Cockrill kam im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 765,00 (€ 854,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurice Cockrill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Generation - Blue Space, Ii, (Marienbad.) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.598,03).
