Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Two portraits of Burmese dancers, Rangoon each 32 x 25.4cm (12 5/8 x 10in). by Maung Su Yatanabon was auctioned at Bonhams in London in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 701.25 (€ 831.41). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maung Su Yatanabon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A set of four portrait studies of Burmese sitters including a cigar smoker and cheroot smoker, a priest and a priestess each 32 x 25.1cm (12 5/8 x 9 7/8in). (4) all mounted but unframed, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,267.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Two portraits of Burmese dancers, Rangoon each 32 x 25.4cm (12 5/8 x 10in). von Maung Su Yatanabon kam im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 701,25 (€ 831,41) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Maung Su Yatanabon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A set of four portrait studies of Burmese sitters including a cigar smoker and cheroot smoker, a priest and a priestess each 32 x 25.1cm (12 5/8 x 9 7/8in). (4) all mounted but unframed beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.267,48) versteigert wurde.
