In October this year Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Böttiger Collection H067, which included the work "Mini Container" by Matthias van Arkel. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 15,000.00 (€ 1,270.34), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Matthias van Arkel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Mini-Sarkofag' in October this year with an auction result of SEK 120,000.00 (€ 10,162.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Böttiger Collection H067 durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Mini Container" von Matthias van Arkel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 15.000,00 (€ 1.270,34) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Matthias van Arkel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Mini-Sarkofag' im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 120.000,00 (€ 10.162,76).
