Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work "Container #62" by Matthias van Arkel was sold in the Böttiger Collection H067 auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in October this year. It achieved a price of SEK 36,000.00 (€ 3,048.83), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matthias van Arkel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Mini-Sarkofag', which sold at auction in October this year for SEK 120,000.00 (€ 10,162.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit "Container #62" von Matthias van Arkel wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Böttiger Collection H067 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von SEK 36.000,00 (€ 3.048,83) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Für andere Arbeiten von Matthias van Arkel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Mini-Sarkofag' beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für SEK 120.000,00 (€ 10.162,76) versteigert wurde.
