Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Matthew Porter could be acquired at Bonhams in London in July this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs Now The Collector's Edition auction, the work Lonely Are the Brave changed hands for USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,742.29) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Matthew Porter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Valley View in October last year with an auction result of USD 15,120.00 (€ 15,220.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Matthew Porter konnte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs Now The Collector's Edition wechselte die Arbeit Lonely Are the Brave für USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.742,29) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Matthew Porter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Valley View im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 15.220,46).
