In May 2013 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The Casbah Gate, Tangiers (Illustrated); And Preparing For A Journey by Matthew Jarvis. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,169.16) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Matthew Jarvis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work British Tea In The Riad, Morocco in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,054.55).
