Despite a disappointment, a good price for Matthew Jarvis
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work British Tea In The Riad, Morocco by Matthew Jarvis for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,054.55). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, British Tea In The Riad, Morocco is the most expensive artwork by Matthew Jarvis that we have observed at auction so far.
