In October 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work British View Of The Main Street With Waterseller And Pastry Cook'S Shops, Safi, Morocco by Matthew Jarvis. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,823.92) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00.
