A top price for Matthew Benedict
In February 2011 Phillips in London held the auction The Valencia Collection, which included the work The Mariner's Baptism by Matthew Benedict. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,447.91), 67% above the upper estimate. This high result makes The Mariner's Baptism the most expensive artwork by Matthew Benedict that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Februar 2011 führte Phillips in London die Auktion The Valencia Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Mariner's Baptism von Matthew Benedict zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.447,91) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht The Mariner's Baptism zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Matthew Benedict, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
