Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Lucifer by Matthew Benedict for EUR 1,187.50. This price was achieved in the auction The Piet and Ida Sanders Collection at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matthew Benedict achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Mariner's Baptism in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,447.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Lucifer von Matthew Benedict für EUR 1.187,50 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Piet and Ida Sanders Collection bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matthew Benedict erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Mariner's Baptism im Februar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.447,91).
