Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Contemporary, which included the work "David Bowie/Cracked Actor, Brussels 1983" by Mats Bäcker. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SEK 25,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of SEK 26,000.00 (€ 2,799.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Mats Bäcker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Iggy Pop, Köpenhamn 1977". in May 2015 with an auction result of SEK 125,000.00 (€ 13,336.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit "David Bowie/Cracked Actor, Brussels 1983" von Mats Bäcker zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 25.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von SEK 26.000,00 (€ 2.799,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mats Bäcker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Iggy Pop, Köpenhamn 1977". im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 125.000,00 (€ 13.336,82).
