The work Pintor en la Montaña by Matías Sánchez was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in association with Yongle auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in November last year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 138,600.00 (€ 17,199.13), 54% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Matías Sánchez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Partisanos El Amuerzo (Painted In 2020) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 108,000.00 (€ 110,289.13).

Die Arbeit Pintor en la Montaña von Matías Sánchez wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in association with Yongle bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 138.600,00 (€ 17.199,13) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Matías Sánchez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Partisanos El Amuerzo (Painted In 2020) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 108.000,00 (€ 110.289,13).
