Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Untitled (Garbage Bag Grey #7) by Matias Faldbakken. The price achieved of GBP 2,268.00 (€ 2,638.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matias Faldbakken achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Mdf) in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 262,500.00 (€ 248,156.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Garbage Bag Grey #7) von Matias Faldbakken zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.268,00 (€ 2.638,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matias Faldbakken erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Mdf) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 262.500,00 (€ 248.156,55).
