Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Matias Faldbakken could be acquired at Sothebys in London in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art | London auction, the work Untitled (Garbage Bag Grey #10) changed hands for GBP 1,638.00 (€ 1,953.79) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matias Faldbakken achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Mdf) in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 262,500.00 (€ 248,156.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Matias Faldbakken konnte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | London wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Garbage Bag Grey #10) für GBP 1.638,00 (€ 1.953,79) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matias Faldbakken erzielen.
