Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Rainbow Cocktail, The Post Box, The Flying Ship (Triptych) by Shichinohe Masaru was worth HKD 500,000.00 (€ 46,503.24) to a buyer in April 2014. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shichinohe Masaru - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Praying Girl(Painted In 2012), which sold at auction in May 2017 for HKD 826,000.00 (€ 94,318.08).

Die Arbeit Rainbow Cocktail, The Post Box, The Flying Ship (Triptych) von Shichinohe Masaru war einem Käufer im April 2014 HKD 500.000,00 (€ 46.503,24) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Shichinohe Masaru mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Praying Girl(Painted In 2012) beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für HKD 826.000,00 (€ 94.318,08) versteigert wurde.
