This artwork by Maryan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2017. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for EUR 8,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maryan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Periode Americaine - 1975 in December 2020 with an auction result of EUR 46,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maryan erzielte im April 2017 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 8.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maryan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Periode Americaine - 1975 im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 46.800,00.
