Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish & Sporting Pictures, which included the work Still Life With Poppies by Mary Nicol Neill Armour. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,400.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mary Nicol Neill Armour - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Midsummer Flowers, which sold at auction in August 2007 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,347.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish & Sporting Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Poppies von Mary Nicol Neill Armour zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.400,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mary Nicol Neill Armour mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Midsummer Flowers beobachtet, die im August 2007 für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 44.347,92) versteigert wurde.
