A top price for Mary Nicol Neill Armour - as previously expected
In August 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish and Sporting Pictures, which included the work Midsummer Flowers by Mary Nicol Neill Armour. The price achieved of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 44,347.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Midsummer Flowers is the most expensive artwork by Mary Nicol Neill Armour that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im August 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish and Sporting Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Midsummer Flowers von Mary Nicol Neill Armour zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 44.347,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Midsummer Flowers das teuerste Kunstwerk von Mary Nicol Neill Armour, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
