Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Out on the Marsh by Mary Newcomb was auctioned at Bonhams in London in April last year. The price achieved of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 3,040.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mary Newcomb achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Guinea Fowl on a Fence in March 2000 with an auction result of GBP 38,900.00 (€ 64,692.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Out on the Marsh von Mary Newcomb kam im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 3.040,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mary Newcomb erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Guinea Fowl on a Fence im März 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.900,00 (€ 64.692,48).
